Five and Five

Typography:

This is a collection of beautiful typographic sketchbooks. You can look inside the book here.

Here is another collection of really wonderful typography, definitely worth checking them out.

Here is yet another stunning gallery of typographic layouts. Man I love these.

This is a great collection of hand lettering done on chalkboards.

And this is a well laid out quote that has resonated pretty strongly with me.

Bonus round: I thought this was hilarious, so... here you go!

Narratives:

This piece by Mike Mitchell makes the viewer wonder how the character featured arrived at his current balloon-covered state of being.

This piece by Nas Chompas hints that something crazy is about to happen, and, as is true about most of his work, is very dynamic.

This piece by Tim Biskup has a lot going on and allows the viewer to create their own narrative from the numerous visual aspects.

This piece by Julian Bialowas shows the outset of an adventure and is complemented by powerful overlaid text. It makes the viewer care about the people in the photograph and curious about what may happen to them.

I thought this piece was humorous. It added a narrative element to a common game, rock/paper/scissors that is surprising and silly.
